Detox Center
UConnectCare’s 16-bed Detox Center provides medical withdrawal and stabilization for people who are struggling with a substance use disorder. Our role is reduce the amount of an addictive substance in a patient’s body, provide reasonable control of active withdrawal symptoms and/or avert a life-threatening medical crisis. Center is fully staffed by medical and substance use counseling professionals specially trained and certified to assist people who require short-term services. Our services are truly patient-centered and geared to make people feel as comfortable as possible during their stay.
We are located at the back of UConnectCare’s Atwater Community Residence in Batavia. We are excited to now provide the continuum of care under one roof to enable people in need to stay close to home for their treatment. For more information, please contact us at 585-815-1860.

UConnectCare's Harm Reduction services encourage any positive change.
Harm Reduction is an evidence-based approach that is critical to engage with people who use drugs and equip them with life-saving tools. Harm Reduction does not ignore drug use in our community, but shines a light to provide non-judgmental care to increase the quality of life of people who use drugs throughout Genesee and Orleans Counties. It allows autonomy for people to prevent overdose, drug related injuries, and other preventable diseases.
UConnectCare’s Harm Reduction team can provide safer use supplies and referrals to community services for housing, food, and clothing, and provide transportation in most cases. Harm Reduction peers and case managers are available to meet people wherever they are at in their substance use.
