DWI Victim Impact Panel

The DWI Victim Impact Panel (VIP) brings DWI offenders and victims together for a program that has offenders hearing first-hand how a DWI crash impacted the lives of others. At each VIP session, two or three volunteer speakers talk to audience members about their experience with a DWI crash. Some panel volunteers had a child killed or a spouse severely injured. The memory of their loved one is honored by volunteering their time to tell and re-tell their story.
Please contact Diane Klos, Prevention Secretary, to register at 585-815-1833 or dklos@gcasa.org.

DWI VIP Schedule & Registration
The VIP meets the second Monday bi-monthly promptly at 7:30 pm at Genesee Community College, Room T-119, One College Road, Batavia. Pre-registration is required and full payment is expected. The DWI VIP registration form lists panel dates, cost and mailing address. A Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy is present before and during each DWI VIP to ensure the safety of all panel members and participants.
UConnectCare's Harm Reduction services encourage any positive change.
Harm Reduction is an evidence-based approach that is critical to engage with people who use drugs and equip them with life-saving tools. Harm Reduction does not ignore drug use in our community, but shines a light to provide non-judgmental care to increase the quality of life of people who use drugs throughout Genesee and Orleans Counties. It allows autonomy for people to prevent overdose, drug related injuries, and other preventable diseases.
UConnectCare’s Harm Reduction team can provide safer use supplies and referrals to community services for housing, food, and clothing, and provide transportation in most cases. Harm Reduction peers and case managers are available to meet people wherever they are at in their substance use.
